Ordering & Availability

At 172 Sports Cards, we strive to provide the most up-to-date inventory of Hobby Boxes and collectible cases. Because the sports card market is fast-moving, please review our policies regarding order placement and product availability.

1. Product Availability Status

Each product on our site will display one of the following statuses:

  • In Stock: The item is currently in our Massillon, OH facility and is ready to ship within our standard 1–2 business day handling time.

  • Pre-Order: The item is a confirmed upcoming release. By purchasing a pre-order, you are securing your box/case ahead of the official release date. (See Section 3 for details).

  • Out of Stock: The item is currently unavailable. You may sign up for email notifications to be alerted if we restock.

2. Pricing Policy

Due to the volatile nature of the sports card hobby, prices are subject to change based on market trends, player performance, and supply levels.

  • Price Guarantee: Once you complete your checkout, your price is locked. We will not charge you more if the market price rises, nor do we offer refunds if the market price decreases after your purchase.

3. Pre-Order Information

Pre-ordering is the best way to ensure you receive high-demand products (like Panini Prizm or Topps Chrome) at launch.

  • Release Dates: All release dates are estimates provided by the manufacturers (Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, etc.) and are subject to change.

  • Fulfillment: Pre-orders ship within 1–2 business days of the product's official arrival at our facility.

  • Combined Orders: If you order an "In Stock" item and a "Pre-Order" item together, your entire order will ship once the final pre-order item becomes available. To receive in-stock items sooner, please place separate orders.

4. Order Limits

To ensure as many collectors as possible have access to "hot" releases, we reserve the right to limit quantities per customer, household, or IP address. If an order exceeds these limits, we may cancel the excess portion and issue a refund.

5. Order Cancellations

  • Customer Cancellations: Because we move quickly to process orders, cancellations must be requested within 1 hour of purchase. Once an item has moved to the "Processing" or "Shipped" stage, it cannot be canceled.

  • Store Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel orders due to pricing errors, inventory discrepancies, or suspicion of fraudulent activity. In these rare cases, a full refund will be issued immediately.

6. Real-Time Inventory Sync

Our website inventory is synced in real-time. However, in the rare event that an item sells out simultaneously across multiple platforms, we will notify you immediately and provide a full refund for the unavailable item.
